Eagle Feather Demo by Jim Linnell Tandy/TLF Cincinnati Ohio

There she is- isn't she pretty?  He suggested mounting it by using a punch to make some circles of leather to glue to the background so it would stand up, not lay flat against the suede.  It would look nice in a shadow box frame, wouldn't it?  A feather like this could be used on a mandella, or laced to something with a string of deerskin.  Possibilities are only limited by your imagination! I'd braid it into my hair maybe.  The acrylic is dried now, and the feather will hold it's shape.  We had a great time learning from Jim, and he is a great teacher.  He explains what he's doing while he's working, and why.  Everyone thanked him for taking the time to show us so much, and he said that demonstrating was one of the more enjoyable parts of his job.  The next day he was scheduled to teach 4-H leaders to teach leathercraft a hundred miles from Michael's store, so we reluctantly left so he could get a few hours of sleep.  We could have talked all night long.  If you get a chance to attend one of his classes, go!  Thanks, Jim, for sharing with us!
